CrimeStoppers Tip that Led to 3 Arrests, Seizure of Drugs and Guns Earned $1500 Reward

Savannah, GA (February 22, 2017) – A concerned tipster reported heavy drug trafficking happening near a school and with young children in the home. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Robert Frazier – a registered sex offender with a lengthy arrest record that included two counts of statutory rape and nine counts of probation violation — and also Bobby Clark and Kijuana Smart. The Savannah Metro Strategic Investigations Unit seized significant amounts of marijuana, heroin, and ecstasy, more than $4,400 in cash, and five stolen firearms that included a shotgun and revolver. To thank the tipster for sharing information that led to these arrests and helped to get the drugs and stolen guns out of the neighborhood, the CrimeStoppers Board of Directors approved a reward of $1,500 for the tipster.

In the January 27 arrest, Frazier was charged with multiple counts of possession with the intent to distribute, failure to register as a sex offender, possession of a knife or firearm in committing a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, cruelty to children in the first degree, and other charges. He had previously been charged nine times for probation violation, eight times for contempt of court, multiple DUIs, multiple counts of possession of marijuana, cocaine, and ecstasy with the intent to distribute, two counts of statutory rape, reckless driving, and more. He is also a member of the Black Gangster Mafia.
